I’ve always been obsessed with hats — baseball hats, cowboy hats, lifeguard sun hats, and even a brief phase with bucket hats. This obsession stems from a desire to protect my skin to the best of my ability. The best skincare and lasers in the world can’t compete with consistent sun exposure and damage. A hat is one of the best and easiest tools we have to keep our skin healthy!

Since moving to Aspen, Colorado, I struggled to find a hat that could effectively protect my skin from the mountain sun — and that was not horribly unattractive. After three summers in Aspen, countless sun drenched hikes, and many, MANY (!) hats later, Sunnyside was born.

With a desire to protect skin while not sacrificing on style, my goal is to offer a great looking hat with incredible function and high quality sun protection.

PS - Sunnyside is a wonderful hike in Aspen. But like the name suggests, the sun is strong! May your Sunnyside hat protect you on even the sunniest of hikes.
